My mum celebrated her birthday last week. The day before birthday I cleaned our house and decorated it with flowers and balloons. My father and I planned to organize a surprise for her in the morning. We got up early, set the table and made a birthday cake. We also fried some pancakes. The mother was very surprised and happy!

My brother's birthday was coming and we decided to make it a special day for him. We organized a birthday party. It took place at home. I with my younger sister and parents made all preparations. We liked the idea of a balloon party most of all. I wrote the warm thanks to the guests on the cards. Then I put the cards into 100 balloons and blew them up. I used the balloons to decorate the house. I also made a fortune tree for the guests. My sister made colourful banners. She also prepared many contests and games. The winners got different lovely prizes. My mother baked a big birthday cake with 8 candles. And my father prepared delicious desserts for us. We danced and sang songs. I think the party was a true fun and joy for everybody.
