A: Hi, Mike? Where are you going?
B: Oh, hi, Peter! I’m going to Theatre Square. I want to meet my friend Bob near the monument of Solomiya Krushelnytska.
A: What are you going to do then?
B: This is Bob’s first visit to Ternopil. So we would like to have a walk around the square in the town centre.
A: Is he going to stay at your place?
B: Yes, he is.
A: We may go to the theatre in the evening.
B: That’s a good idea. I'm sure, Bob will like it.

I live in Ternopil region. It is in the west of Ukraine. The city of Ternopil is our regional centre. It is situated on the river Seret. About two hundred and fifty thousand people live here.
The history of Ternopil is very rich. The city was founded in 1540. It was named after Jan Tamavski, a wealthy landowner who lived in the area.
Ternopil has many places of interest. The oldest one is the castle which is situated near the beautiful lake. There are also many old churches and other buildings with interesting architecture in the centre of the town. Besides, there is a museum, a theatre, a modem cinema, a stadium, many hotels, clubs, restaurants, cafes and supermarkets in Ternopil. And there are the monuments to T. Shevchenko, I. Franko. S. Pushkin, S. Krushelnytska and other famous people.
Ternopil is a green and beautiful town. It has three big parks where people like to spend their free time ! like Ternopil very much.
